A UFO manifests in an auditorium as the school principle conducts the standard Orientation Lecture to students passing from grade school into junior high school…with the students’ parents present. The meeting occurred, I believe, in August of 1949.
Parents get lesson on how to treat their children
A windowed saucer appeared from low hissing fog near the Principal, just after he began to speak. The Principal, at first, was so intent on his address, he ignored or wasn’t even aware of the saucer. As he continued his speech, a voice coming from the saucer interrupted him with several comments about how parents should treat their children. It was so bizarre at times, the Principal got completely confused. He also reacted, at times, as if someone or something had some kind of unseen control over him.
Eventually, a few of the parents got mad at the bold attitude of the voice, who seemed to be lecturing them; they began to argue with the voice. The voice then used superior psychological statements and mesmerized the entire crowd. He then hypnotized them and the principal. Oddly, another boy and I remained fully conscious through all of this. The voice instructed all of the parents on how to handle their children more fairly. I remember agreeing with most everything the voice said. After a while, the crowd seemed to slowly recover from their state of immobility and the voice allowed the Principal to continue his message.
Sometime later, a booth developed in front of the other boy and me. After obtaining permission from our parents, we entered the booth and received the usual message about “eternal knowledge and wisdom –Indians and buffalo.” This occurred off to the side, in front of the left section of seats. Again, the Principal didn’t know what to think, but continued as best he could. The crowd also seemed puzzled, but all just nervously remained planted solidly in their seats. I remember feeling smug when the voice lectured the parents, but submissive when my parents tried to manage me.
This encounter seems very important because it demonstrates how proficient the intelligence was at controlling a crowd. Their memories were periodically erased and they seemed, at times, to be lightly sedated by something unseen. This encounter, like many other encounters, also suggests that the motives of the hidden intelligence is moral, in the best interest of humankind.
When the program ended, everyone got up, spoke softly among themselves, then left in an orderly fashion. Even though we didn’t recall all that had just occurred, it seems now that the enraptured program had made an impression on all of us: We students received instructions from the Principal about our proper behavior for our next semester and the parents received directions from the voice about how to treat us more fairly.
Craft and objects also appeared during after-school functions, such as out-of-town and home basketball and football games. The only times I recall them appearing during school itself was during my physical education class and once or twice in my home- room/English class. These were generally short manifestations of craft from fog, haze or distorted atmosphere that was sometimes clear. Most experiences occurred outside on the ball diamonds and football fields and inside of the gym. All that I remember of my home-room/English class encounters is light blue haze filling the room, then everyone beginning to awake from what seemed to be a deep sleep. We later found we had lost some time.
